Brooklyn, NY · Nonprofit · Empowering Families Since 2020
The Dynamic Duo is a Brooklyn-based nonprofit empowering neurodivergent youth and their families through education advocacy, academic support, and community partnerships — rooted in lived experience.
Our Story
Lucy Antione and her son Dylan Dufour are a Brooklyn-based mother-and-son team who have turned their personal experience navigating special education into a mission of community impact.
Dylan was diagnosed early and placed in the ASD Nest program, where Lucy became a fierce advocate — learning the system from the inside while raising a child who would go on to earn the title of valedictorian twice and rank among the top graduates at Brooklyn Technical High School, one of NYC's most selective specialized schools. Together they speak, teach, and advocate so that other families don't have to navigate the system alone.
"We built The Dynamic Duo because we lived it — and we know what it means when a family finally feels seen."
— Lucy Antione, Co-Founder & Executive Director
Our Mission
The Dynamic Duo is dedicated to closing the gap between families and the educational systems meant to serve them — with a particular focus on neurodivergent youth and communities of color, including the Haitian diaspora.
Personalized tutoring, SHSAT preparation, and summer enrichment programs designed to build real confidence and lasting skills — not just test scores.
IEP navigation support, parent workshops, and community education to help families understand their rights and advocate effectively within NYC schools.
Partnerships with schools, hospitals, community organizations, and elected officials to build a network of support for underserved families across Brooklyn and beyond.
